Interior/Exterior Show off your gauges here! Pics here!
I don't like it. The way the red filters through for the numbers and lines looks ... er, "fuzzy", I guess. Doesn't photograph well, either. ;-) How'd you do it? Is it printed paper or something like that?

You could always go this way and have chrome edges to the numbers and markers. The above that i did a while ago i have stopped doing. Supplier wasnt to great at delivery times, and they didnt fit to well either. HOWEVER i have a new guy, right at this very moment, making special templates out of the originals, and im assured they will be of OEM quality thick plastic.
Im looking forward to them.
I think the white outline might cure the daytime visibility problems. Cooper_Si I am looking forward to this as well. Although my car has Navi so I need both the Tach and speedo. Will your supplier be making both?

here's a daytime photo, I actually don't mind the lack of contrast for the #s as much I had expected to. They just sick at night, the there is much more contrast from the face to the #s than with the white, and then you glance down to checkthe speed and the monkey face, scares the crap out of you (well it did the first time). I'll likely revise it (mainly to add the outline foe the #s), but for the cost of ink and transparencies this is a real simple DIY, that is cheap and has a big change on the interior. does anyone have the PSDs forthe center speedo, I really only want to have to take that apart once.

dude thats a funky idea, and just think thats the only one in the world just like that
I also do the lighting on these dials and this is what that dial looks like now....
A different type of guage...
Just thought I'd throw in a quick picture of my new "guage pod" (i.e. the black thing on the dash). Actually, it's a GPS-based data acquisition system, but it will also display a digital readout of up to 12 attached sensors (two at a time). Right now I am just displaying G-forces, but I'm going to get an oil temp sensor (which I've needed), and wheel/brake/accel sensors for track training.
Also, I connected it to a tach sensor, so it will show progressive shift lights (the little dots across the top) and the little number at the top center shows....wait for it....the current gear!

FYI, here's the company that makes it: http://www.g2extreme.com/
And there's another picture of it in my gallery...

That's beautiful
What's involved in getting the gear readout?
Thanks,
Sid

It's easy once you get a good Tach signal. Since it can tell your "real" speed via GPS, you simply drive along in each gear at a steady pace and then press a button...it calculates the ratio automatically. The good thing is that this way you're getting the true ratio regardless of your tire size...
It's also very interesting to watch the speed difference between the GPS and the speedometer (due to tire diameter difference)...
Here's the adaptor I ended up using:

I'd be happy to write up some install tips......oops, well, if you don't want the excuse...no it's HARD!
I have to take out the current face for a trip to the dealer, I'm going to put together a revised face tomorrow night so I can hopefully run it at Sebring this weekend (may install that morning at this rate
) So any last bits of rocmmendations I'm planning on moving the DAMM and sunshine logos to under the LCD and adding some stripes to the rev markers so there is a little bit more border. Custom LEDs is a project still quite aways down the road (warranty is over and I reverse engineer via lurking the new mustang 124 color guage), I think I'll probably to the variable redline with oil temo there too.

I'm NO supermechanic...sure would appreciate a write up when you have time
Just did this tonight. I think it looks pretty hot
I'll probably do the speedo over the weekend. Now all I need is the black gague face to complete it!
sorry for the fuzzy pic, flash just kills it
