I purchased MINI’s air freshener kit and wanted to write a quick review since there’s not a lot of information about it online or in their own dealerships.
i was so excited for this, so i could stop buying cardboard trees; but sadly the vent posts on the R56 are slightly shorter and it falls off. i’m working on a homemade fix wish me luck. (also the BMW version has two mounting options, 4 flavors, and two seasonal flavors to be named later….. little brother got gipped!)
Bringing this one back up because I’m curious if anyone has found new scents lately. I’ve been using the holder for a bit, and the sticks seem to fade faster in summer. Has anyone tried storing the extras in a sealed bag to make them last longer, or found a cheaper place online to grab refills?

@Gromlech hello and I hope you’re having a great weekend. I forgot to update this post with additional scent information and will link to my updated post on the MINIF56 forum.
@ECSTuning does sell them like they mentioned, however, I purchase the limited edition scents directly from BMW MINI dealerships in the UK and Germany since they have them in-stock almost immediately
I found the MINI holder works best if you keep expectations in check, since the scent sticks fade faster than I hoped. I ended up pairing mine with a softer scent I already loved, kind of like how I use sweet caramel bakery candles at home to keep things cozy without being overpowering. The OEM look is great, but I’d grab refills online since the dealer prices add up fast.
