MINI Natural Air Accessory:

I purchased MINI’s air freshener kit and wanted to write a quick review since there’s not a lot of information about it online or in their own dealerships.

Part Numbers:

Starter Kit: 83125A7DCA5
Energizing Daylight: 83125A7DCA6
Relaxing Twilight: 83125A7DCA9

What’s Included:

: Starter kit includes the holder with one Energizing Daylight scent plate
: Scent kit includes three refill plates

Build Quality:

The holder is made of plastic and has rubber ring on the back that securely holds it on the air vent dial.

It doesn’t feel cheap for plastic, when opening or closing the holder I never got the feeling it would easily break.

The MINI wings logo slides horizontally to open and close the front slots.

The Scents:

Both scents are very light and airy, they are not overwhelming and do not have that artificial/chemical smell like some other ones.

MINI states they will also have a one special addition scent each year but it’s not available yet.

I’m in love with Relaxing Twilight

BMW had their air freshener kits for many years and I’m glad MINI released them too.

Have a great weekend and holiday -Rich

no go on R56

i was so excited for this, so i could stop buying cardboard trees; but sadly the vent posts on the R56 are slightly shorter and it falls off. i’m working on a homemade fix wish me luck. (also the BMW version has two mounting options, 4 flavors, and two seasonal flavors to be named later….. little brother got gipped!)

@HarryOh yeah, it would have been nice if MINI released it with an adjustable plate to be compatible with all generations.

Their scents are really pleasing and don’t give me headaches like other brands.

Keep us posted with your solution and motor on -Rich

*Quick Update

- It's been over a year and the "Relaxing Twilight" scent finally gave out.

- Inserted MINI's Limited Edition "Delightful Serenity" and it's a scent for the Autumn/Fall season.

Have a great weekend and motor on -Rich

Thanks for the update, I am surprised it lasted that long. Most air fresheners last about a month or two.

Yep thats the new scent. Part number: 83125A97D90 https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/83125A97D90/

Bringing this one back up because I’m curious if anyone has found new scents lately. I’ve been using the holder for a bit, and the sticks seem to fade faster in summer. Has anyone tried storing the extras in a sealed bag to make them last longer, or found a cheaper place online to grab refills?

Hello,

https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...I_NATURAL_AIR/

This is all of them and some are on sale. I would store them in a sealed bag when not in use. They only last so long like a glade product.

@Gromlech hello and I hope you’re having a great weekend. I forgot to update this post with additional scent information and will link to my updated post on the MINIF56 forum.

@ECSTuning does sell them like they mentioned, however, I purchase the limited edition scents directly from BMW MINI dealerships in the UK and Germany since they have them in-stock almost immediately

Jump into the Sea is my favorite scent

Hope you have a fun week and motor on -Rich

I found the MINI holder works best if you keep expectations in check, since the scent sticks fade faster than I hoped. I ended up pairing mine with a softer scent I already loved, kind of like how I use sweet caramel bakery candles at home to keep things cozy without being overpowering. The OEM look is great, but I’d grab refills online since the dealer prices add up fast.
