Openometer Delete (2014 Roadster S)
I've been wanting to delete my openometer for a while. Today I finally had everything needed to remove it. I didn't want to over-complicate the project, so I did the housing swap without disconnecting the tach from the dash.
Before making any changes. The tach on the right is essentially off of a coupe.
The finished product as installed. No openometer on the left.
Notes:
1. Torx-30 to disconnect the housing from the steering column.
2. The info on this page was helpful: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techart...eplacement.htm
3. I used my original tachometer and "disconnected" the openometer with the housing completely removed (the white plastic was cut)
4. Thanks to user "hotairgypsy" for a great deal on the tach and tach housing.
5. I'm trying to decide what to do with all of the leftover hardware.
