Depends on what your situation is and your budget. You can pick up an OEM roof rack and put attachments on it, pick up an aftermarket rack and put attachments on it, suction cup bike rack, hitch mounted rack. All of these have pros and cons and fit different budgets. We need some more information to help you.
The OEM rack requires, at least for the Gen 1's, to be bolted to the roof. We had one for an R50 that we sold a while back. If I remember correctly - I am probably wrong, but it could hold like 150 pounds of some such as there are "hard points" in the roof for this application. I have no idea what the strength is of the "rain gutter rails" on the roof are. If I were to take a wild shot in the dark with a blindfold on and say that that they could hold a couple of bikes on a Yakima/Thule style roof rack system.
I put a thule system on my roof a few years ago, and I've been happy with it. I got it with two of their more expensive bike racks, and the whole package cost me about $1000. There are no permanent mounts that need to be made. Because you can't clip to the rails behind the door opening, the Thule (as well as the Yakima as I recall) needs a short roof extension kit. It basically clamps to the door opening, even though the rear feet are behind the door opening.
The Thule system comes with some clear vinyl stickers to protect your paint, and the last time I looked, I wasn't able to find a place to buy replacement stickers. When I called Thule about it, the sent me a replacement mini mount kit, which included the stickers, and the rubber feet (which I didn't need.) Great customer service regardless.
^^ couple post above. Some of the install parts are now nla, but it can still be done and we are one of the only people left that can source the install kit and black caps. Most places they are blocked from orders.
