Door Card Ellipses, can these be removed for painting?

Looking at the part highlighted in yellow, has anyone had the door card apart and can this part be removed for painting?

Check out the diagram on real OEM here, and below. Looks like you may be able to.

On my 07 it I'd spot welded together. Just drill out the plastic rivits and paint. Buy some plastic filler rod and melt back together. Did exactly that on my s10 with alright results. I'd recommend sem products over Walmart paint.

Looking at that real oem diagram, it should be pretty easy to just unclip all these which is good news. Any thoughts around removing the downtubes under the dash centre?

If you're talking about the sides of the center stack. They just pop off. If I remember correctly when my mechanic was hardwiring my GPS he just pulled them toward the rear of the car and they popped right off.

I am just checking in on this topic. Has anyone removed these panels? Did you need to remove the entire door to get to release the ellipses?

Thanks
