LED DRL/Foglight install issues

Solved: The crimp between the blue wire and gray wire at pin 12 wasn't making a good connection

I purchased the OEM Mini Cooper LED DRL/Foglights and took them to the garage to have them installed.

We are experiencing an issue with getting the LED halo to work. The top half illuminates for the parking light and the bright foglight portion can be switched on and works fine. However, the DRL function, with the full halo, does not work.

The DRL setting is disabled through the dashboard, as the instructions say, and the halo does not illuminate. We cannot get the halo to illuminate at all.

As far as I know, from what I was told from the garage, everything is connected. They are going to keep the car and look at it some more on Monday to try and figure it out.

Does anyone have any ideas in the meantime? This is a 2008 R56 S in the US. Pretty sure it is not a Canadian model.

Thank you for any help.

My guess would be ensure that the blue wire tapped to Pin #12 (Grey wire) of the 51 Pin footwell module is actually making a connection. Squeeze a pliers to the E connector to ensure connection. See DRL thread in the general section for more on this. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ls-fitted.html
