Trimmed inside door panel?

Has anyone trimmed out the inside door panel to make more room for your arm? Im right up against the door and it hits right in the middle of my triceps. This is kinda keeping me from looking more into purchasing a mini jcw.

thanks in advance

Sure, no problem. I did this. Just cut until you hit the metal and then stop. Don't cut into the metal or you might weaken the door. I used a sawzall and it went really fast. Almost too fast. You might want to try something a little less aggressive, maybe a rotozip or similar cutting tool. I went to a fabric store and bought some nice black vinyl to cover the cut out area. Used some 3M cement and well, it won't win any contests but now I have room for my big arm. I used to have to drive with the window down and my arm hanging out but not anymore! Now I just need to make some head room for my gigantic head! Time to break out the sawzall again...
