Protecting the inside plastic around door

Hi everyone.

I just took ownership of a new MINI and I'm interested in protecting the inside plastic trim from scratches as much as possible. I've already noticed a couple very faint scratches in the piano black finish and would like to prevent future scratches as much as possible.

Thanks for your tips!

Shawn

Welcome!

I use 303 Aerospace Protectant on plastic like that.
It's kind of pricey, but it works well.

There's nothing you can apply to prevent or remove that. I've been told that same color shoe polish might help but haven't tried that. Those scratches came from something harder than the plastic. All you can really do is be very conscious of your shoes and other objects as you enter and leave the car. I bark at my co-pilot constantly about her situational awareness when it comes to such matters. I often carry golf clubs in the back seat and have just come to accept that they are going to disrespect their surroundings. Good luck keeping an active arena pristine.
Also, unlike the rest of mankind, I allow absolutely no eating or drinking within the confines of my MINI.

303 protectant will not remove the scratches,, however it leaves a clean look finish and UV protection.
