Anyone know a good custom stripe vendor?

I want to get a gloss black version made of the stripe that surrounds the hood scoop on a GP. Not Vinyl Styles - I spoke with them several times and got nowhere. Cooper Flags doesn't seem to respond. Anyone have any suggestions for reliable and high quality custom exterior vinyl stripe work?

Much appreciated.

There's tons of places now that do vinyl work since the vehicle wrap business has taken off. Find one of them locally, piece of cake for them.

Unfortunately I did, but it wasn't. That's why I am asking here now.

You saying not one automotive vinyl or sign shop near you could make a simple circle the shape of the one on the GP and stick it on your car ? If so, they should be out of business. WTH ?

One near was able to duplicate a very complicated checkered design for the bonnet of our PW R50 before my SO changed her mind. Saw a photo, did it up on the computer, ready to print it and install it. He would have laughed at how easy your job is. Move to Baltimore, plenty of shops around here could do that easy job.

Cool. Give me the name of your shop then and I'll have them make it for me.

Sounds simple enough. What scares some off is like your SO backing out once they spent the time to get it just right. I run into that all the time. Spend an hour designing a stripe/graphic and then nothing. Time really is money..

Took the guy about three months to show us the first draft so I guess that was a LOT of wasted time. Or he was really busy.

And like in most business, there is a cost to do business.

Lastly, that tint shop has about $1500 of our dollars (just spent $689 in there last Saturday) so I think they still like us.

Try Benini Design in New York:
http://www.newyorkautographics.com/2...ocker-stripes/

They make a GP style side stripe and can do custom designs as well. A hood scoop piece should be a no brainer for any vinyl shop.

Good luck.

The hood scoop vinyl has some pretty simple geometry....., have you thought about just buying some sheet vinyl and cutting it out yourself with and x-acto knife?
