Thanks to the contibutors to this thread. I've read it first, before tackling the other (huge) thread. I don't mind working under/behind the bumper, but don't really want to tackle taking it off. It's balancing what would end up being about $300 difference between ordering the kit and having the dealer do it.

Off to read myself into a headache...

 

Just got these installed on my R60 countryman the lazy way from the dealer. I can tell you they look amazing and fit nicely with the HIDs. To clarify:

1. full halo appears when headlights are off EVEN when in auto on\off mode.
2. LEDs form a small crescent when headlights are on which also looks nice. As other person noted, the full halo would be too bright at night.
3. They also function as fog lights with illumination coming from lower section of piece.

Full install at dealer cost 750.00 ouch, but worth it. MINI dealers can order for you but double check your parts guy is aware of them. The parts guy at my local dealer hadn't heard of them and it took the mechanic to convince him they existed. Yes, it is a MINI part and covered with warranty.
