Resources for Black headlight/tailight trim kits

So I've been trying to do some research, and I've only come across DIY threads of getting black headlight/tail light trim. Are there any reputable manufacturers for this? I was wanting to get the headlights, taillights, Grill trim and side badges all in black. I'd prefer to install an extra set instead of modifying my stock ones... Anyone have any leads?

MINI has a black line kit that's slowly making itself available. It has headlight and taillight rings, a grill surround, tailights, rear fog and side scuttles w/ turn signal. However, all anyone has been able to get their hands on are headlight rings and grill surrounds. The kit doesn't have a headlight washer cover though. A good option is www.vinylstyles.com, Lyle can wrap almost anything in almost any color, flat, satin or glossy. Some of the stuff comes wrapped with core charge and you have to return the stock part; unless you want to et the core charge.

Yeah, I think I've seen this website before... I'd prefer to just keep the stock parts just in case. Do you know how much that would be?

The core charges very from part to part. I think it's on the site.

That's where I got all of my blackout items so far (except marker led's). All authentic BMW/MINI parts. Fairly inexpensive. The only thing that's not in stock at the moment are the TL rings.

MINI dealerships don't have the TL rings. They haven't brought them to the States yet. I ordered mine from Europe's dealership. My uncle was nearby so I had him buy it for me. I should be getting them in two-three days! But check out ECStuning I think?

Someone else can probably give you other websites.

Slightly off topic, but not.....Has anyone seen door handles and the gas cap (cover) in black (something that matches the MINI blackout trim)? I'm trying my hardest not to plastidip them bc it will be off from the rest of the car. I can always get them wrapped in vinyl, but I would rather not.

I'm getting my gas cap vinyled for sure, I have no choice. I asked my uncle in Europe if they got it but nope.

I'm starting to think I'm not going to have a choice either. I'll put this off until I get the TL rings though. Not really in a rush bc my car would still be incomplete without the TL rings. But until then, I'm going to keep searching!

Haha, yeah exactly why I called my uncle for it. Mine haven't gotten here yet as he just put it through the mail about 3 days ago. So possibly another week or less. But once I get mine I could but to be honest man, it took almost two week til I got mine in and then another week and a half til you actually get it. If you really want to, send me a PM this weekend and ill talk to my uncle for you.

The LCI (Life cycle impulse) started with the 2011 models. The black line TL's will fit the 2007-2011 R56 Mini Cooper. There should be no fitment issues whatsoever.

And they are a simple straight plug in, no extra wiring needed at all?

Not sure I'm following. The Black Line TL is just for the rings/trim itself. It has nothing to do with the actual lighting assembly. Just pure aesthetics. So no wiring or anything.

What part of the lighting system are you trying to change or referencing as a "simple straight plug in"?

I'm talking about the actual taillights themselves (not the rear fogs) that are included in the Blackline kit.

we currently have the black headlight rings in stock, and the side turn signal lenses.
We are waiting on the rear rings still.
If you want the entire headlight we can get those for you, but they are not cheap.

I gotcha....my apologies....I thought because we were talking about the trim, that that's what you were referring to. No, it appears as though the wiring is different. Although, I believe there are aftermarket tail lights that mimic that look, the direct ones from MINI are not interchangeable. Please someone, correct if I am wrong as I am only going off of pictures of the tail lights instead of wiring diagrams.

Got my email notification from ECS Tuning that the TL rings are in. Ordered them IMMEDIATELY!!!

I see OutMotoring got some in too. Anyone looking for these had better act fast. They're going to sell out quickly.
