I just installed them,, and boy do they look nice. My problem is, now I want the four light setup. Is there a way to add two more lights, and still use my existing wiring?

I too enjoy my new PIAA lights. Thanks to Spetzler for organizing the GB.
However, an additional two lights would take some deep thought beyond wiring, e.g. mounting must be considered either inside the current lights or outside? What would look best? If four was in my future, I'd consider a light bar.

Note: I noticed yesterday that I can now activate my PIAA driving lights with my daylight running lights on. Hugh? I suppose since I'm wired to the high beams (yellow-green wire) and the DRLs use half the high beams, then this new feature is an unplanned for bennie.

How about posting pics of your install in the original Group Buy thread. I too am considering a second set to include fogs.

 

If all you want is more light, I noticed something in the documentation that got me thinking.

The H3 bulbs that come with the kit are 55W halogens that PIAA says equals 85W of light.

Somewhere else in the documentation it says not to use bulbs greater than 85W.

I have done a search and found that PIAA has replacement bulbs that are 85W and put out something like 110W of light.

Does this mean that the harness and relay can handle the up-rated bulbs?

I have found that I can already illuminate about 1/3 mile ahead, but maybe I want the brighter bulbs?

 

I called PIAA a couple of times, and no answer...Just long hold times. So, I left them a message and I'm waiting for Customer Service to return my call!

I just called PIAA, and you will need to order another complete kit with wiring harness if you want to run 4 lights. However, you can modify the harnesses so that you have a single switch, although I think 2 switches would be more fun and give you more options for just how bright you want the blinding lights to appear to oncoming traffic

However, if you want to do the cheap(er) and dirty solution I am going to try, you can order higher watt bulbs. The ones with the kit are 55W, but they also make an 85W bulb. Those bulbs will put out a little more than 3 lights for the cost of some replacement bulbs.

Bulbs are somewhat expensive, around $30 each although I am searching for the cheapest internet deal I can find. . . .

 

I really appreciate you finding that out for me. I'm not really trying to get brighter, but the 4 piece look. Guess I'll just order another set and install them. I'm gonna have some bird's nest of wires, though!

These higher wattage bulbs put out 59% more light than standard. That adds up to having the brightness of more than 3 lights with just a simple bulb swap.
