Need a step by step instruction manual...
Hey NAM,
I recently purchased a Stubby Antenna and base for my 09 R55 MCCS, the stock antenna is bent and it looks like the MINI's previous owner may have run the car through a car wash and it damaged the base too. So, I'm replacing the parts.
What I need is the instructions to do this, no instructions came with the parts and I've been scrolling through pages and pages of NAM stuff to find my answer but not having much luck. Anyone have any idea on this or where I can find it?
Thanks
P.S.

Pull down rear edge of head liner
remove bolt that holds base in place.
Pull base from roof and disconnect all wires
hopfully the replacement has all the antennas in it that arre needed for your car.
plug new wires into new base
snap back into roof
replace bolt
replace headliner.
But what i will say is if you are going to be doing repairs etc to your car get your self a Bentely manual. They can be had for less than $100 and are well worth the price.

Thanks Schatzy, I'm not planning on doing all the repairs myself but this seems like an easy replacement that I can manage and save the labor charge.
...and thanks for the heads up on the manual...$140 ouch!

I had the same problem and just ordered a stubby antenna for around $30. Then all you have to do is rotate the stock antenna to the left until it comes off the base part and screw on the replacement stubby antenna to the right until it's tight - total time about one minute.
The link below is where you can get one.

BTW - strange question but (2 things) first, will pulling the headliner down from either corner trigger the rear pillar airbag will it and secondly, does this involve removing any of the rear gate weather stripping (I'm thinking it doesn't).
Is the base of the antenna damaged?
If not - why don't you just replace the antenna and save yourself all the hassle?

That's too bad - I was lucky and my car wash damage was only the stock antenna so changing out to a stubby was easy.
No - I wash it by hand. The original owner must of been the one that used a car wash. I didn't notice it until after I bought it.
Not sure. I have a clubman and they are slightly different at the back end there but the procedure is roughly the same.
