Hi all, I've seen posts for Union Jack mirror cap covers, but I was thinking of doing something patriotic with mine, since I have the American Flag on the roof. The only thing I could think of would be to make them blue with white stars, like the corner of the flag. I'm not sure how that would look on a chili red car. Any other ideas, or do you think that's too over-the-top? If I did anything to them, should I look into getting them painted, or should I see if I can get a custom decal from Cooperflags? Any feedback would be appreciated!
Joe

Paint: more durable and last longer
Decal: easily removable and cost less

OK, I understand that paint is more durable, but since the bonnet stripes and American flag on the roof are decals, I would think decals on the mirrors would last at least as long as long as them. Any opinions on if/what I should do to them?

I doubt you would be able to get a graphic to wrap around the mirror due to its complex/compound surface...but if you heat it up a ton, you may get vinyl to wrap...

I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult a task to undertake yourself. As I understand, the mirror caps pop off comparatively easily. You could pop them off, apply a few star-shaped masks to the surface, spray on some blue paint (Indi blue perhaps?), remove the masks to reveal the white underneath, and clearcoat the whole thing.

Just my 2/100ths of a dollar....
