Black out door handles and Gas Filler Cap

Does anyone else offer black out door handle and gas filler cap covers besides Asethetic Creations? I've been in contact with Mike and he has told for the time being they are not offering these products until farther notice.

Is there any site vendor/sponsor that offers these? Before anyone just tells me to plasti dip mine I already have and it didn't last.

I've even considered buying the Putco covers and painting them myself. Thoughts?

Handles I still say AC, you just have to keep checking back. I love mine. Gas cap is PDed and it has held up no problems, what are you doing to your gas cap to wear PD out?

I PD'd the headlight trim, grille surrounds, and tails. I was very unhappy with the outcome.

I'm on the same mission... I'll post of I find anything.

I believe you can get these from Vinyl Styles, but I haven't been able to get Lyle to respond to my emails lately. Maybe I've asked too many questions...

I've seen them on Vinyl Styles but I thought they were a bit pricey. $100.00 with $100.00 core charge for the handle pair. The gas cap cover is $50.00 with $50.00 core charge. I'm all set.

Yeah, I agree they're a bit pricey, and the installation of the handle was a bit worrysome for me. I'm still looking...

The texture or color? Just curious, people seem to love or hate PD. I like that it matches the arches pretty well in color and texture. Other like a gloss look of vinyl.

I am not willing to disassemble the door to just change the handle. I would rather have a cover like the AC product.

I like the texture and color. What I hated was how it was all fisheyed after it dried so I peeled it all off.

You probably were not applying it just right. Maybe try one/two heavy coats, with the can about 5 inches away? Another member on here was having issues, and it was because they were holding the can too far away.

Mike, mine are PD'ed. I'll show you tonight, assuming it doesn't pour on us. I will say that PD is fine for the trim and the gas cap (so far), but I would definitely like to find a different solution to the door handles as well. I don't mind the look, but I can see it peeling in a couple of spots already... Maybe Bav Auto should find a manufacturer and start carrying them? LOL

I've been looking too, AC said a couple of months at least. I thought of just buying a set of the union jack covers they have on ebay for like $80 and painting them black...
