Rain Gutter Roof Trim

So I bought my Mini 2 weeks ago with the driver side corner piece of the roof/rain gutter trim missing. We were thinking it would be easy to replace, but we were wrong. We can't seem to find this ONE piece! All I'm finding are places on the web selling it by a whole roll, and not for cheap either :/

Does anyone know if it is possible to find the piece separately, or if I have to buy the whole thing? I've searched and searched, but can't seem to get a straight answer. I think my last resort may have to be to call one of the 2 Mini dealerships in the state to see if they can help. But I always hate going to any dealership, considering they charge $130 an hour for labor JUST to diagnose something! Yeah right...

Thanks!

Did you check realoem.com to see if it the piece has a separate part number? You might be able to call the dealership and have them check for a number too. I hope that helps.

Looks like there are only two parts available one for the right and one for the left. Both run the entire length of the car and cost $63 or less.

Timely post, I just lost that same piece and noticed the other side is hanging by a thread thanks to a dealer who when replacing the windshield was not gentle in removing these. They won't fess up, of course. Has anyone had any luck locating them for cheaper?

Yup, second gen are all one piece. The rubbery part at the front has to be slid forward to disconnect it from the button tap (my term) so you don't rip it off. Also something about being careful with this trim as u don't want to bend it. I just took them off my Clubman, and it bends pretty easy. Hopefully I did no real damage.

At the doors there are screws on the underside and the rest is press fit. On the clubbie, watch out for that one screw on the suicide door side that's right at the back of the door kinda hidden.

Cheers......

Well hubby picked up this piece from a salvage yard. Looks pretty beat up cuz it's practically where the donor car flipped over in the rollover it was involved in. Apparently MINI's are still too new to be at pick and pull salvage yards. This donor was the only one found in the 6 or 7 yards he called. But in other news, he found a wheel speed sensor! :D Hopefully it works lol.

For future reference, www.car-part.com is a great site to locate salvage cars/parts

Yeah, I actually found that site the other day. I sent an email requesting the right side a-pillar, but have not heard anything.
