We put a similar set on my wife's Passat way back. They are fantastic.
I mean the projector non-HID. You could see about twice as far as the
normal lights.

$300 is steep for me though needs to be about $200 or the wife would scream at
me for a year over it.

The second thread is from a guy who owns a body shop and does a lot of work with aftermarket parts and custom designed parts so you may what to head his advise.

Bear with me, I have a question because I'm new to headlight features and haven't picked up the lingo yet: can you replace stock halogen headlights with the projector only version or do you need the HID kit too? Can someone tell me or point me to a first grade level version of what an HID kit does? Thanks!

Mr. Orange is straight up and full of knowledge.

I can say our Passat lights were plug and play no problems at all.

I would give advice to buy them in such a method that the charges can be
refunded without hassle if they do not fit.

Seeing these light bring back nightmares with a set of P46 Depos I had on my 01 325xi.
