I want colored dash trim

Does anyone know where I can get red parts for the dash like in this picture?

http://www.minimaniauk.co.uk/imagesbig/g2nmi1036l.jpg

Or does anyone know the part # for this? I havent asked Vinyl Styles yet about wrapping it, which may be an option, but I first wanted to see if there are maybe some replacement parts out there.

thanks!

What's shown in your linked photo is the OEM knee guards in Rooster Red.
Those part numbers can be found through RealOEM.com in a breeze.
Look under 51 - Vehicle Trim --> 51 31 Instrument Carrier / Mounting Parts and match up item number with part.

No, they are quite red. Find a local owner in your area to see:

My mistake.... the JCW version is RED and the MCS or MC is an off red. Light red like MINI makes the light/ off yellow.

Sorry for any confusion.... .just wanted to make sure the OP knows there is a light red version that I (personally) don't like. I have seen the JCW version and that is the true red.

Hey Erik.... that looks like a MCS? (white dials give it away) The red does look good. All other MCS versions I have seen at the dealer had a light red style.... not the deep red that I had seen on the JCW.

So I am guessing here.... you can order different RED's?????? I didn't get a cabrio specifically because the one I liked had that off red.

I have only seen the deep red on the JCW..

I thought there was only one red, the Rooster Red. I am only seeing this red on the RealOEM.com site. I havent seen any pictures of the light red. anyone have pictures of that to see the difference? I dont want to order out parts that are not the right color.

There shouldn't be any different "reds". There's only Rooster Red.
Camera and lighting may change the shade, but the color from production is consistent throughout the 2nd-Gen.

cheese, go for it; I'm swapping over currently to Pacific Blue color line.

You're welcome; however RealOEM is only a factory reference, they are NOT a provider.
Take the part numbers you find and price shop to your local dealers and other online suppliers.
You may find that the local dealer may have a slightly higher price, you don't have to pay for the shipping cost to bring it it versus an online provider.

Same material as the knee guards and the current pieces on your car; color is the only difference.

My knee guards are plastic... so if these are plastic, I might consider something else for the arm rests then..

If we're talking about the OEM knee guards and door arm rests as shown as the red parts in the two pictures above, those are leather wrapped.

where can I purchase the parts for the rooster red color line? I called my local Mini parts dept, but the prices are outrageous (about twice the price listed on realoem...)

I've been looking into colorline options too. So far the best prices seem to be http://parts.miniofsouthatlanta.com/...=rooster%20red or (forum doesn't seem to like this long link - here's the text)

www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=215779&cha pter=&sectionids=0,2610&groupid=4805&subgroupid=41 76&make=1001&model=Cooper%20Hardtop&year=2011&cata logid=2&displayCatalogid=0

you can take the mini of south atlanta prices and call your dealer and try to get them to match or best it.. thats what i did for a clutch i had to replace.. they pulled it together and gave me a good deal.. i also did this with a toyota dealer for some toyota parts i needed.. i think dealers will match you on the prices, but you have to work them a bit..

I've been thinking about painting that same trim Horizon Blue to match the exterior paint but not sure how that would look.
