Mickey Mouse removal

Can someone who has taken them out do a quick description of how to remove the speedo surround and vent covers on either side?

I was at the dealer yesterday and when I was walking through the shop and came across a CM with it interior pulled apart. The mickey head is just clipped in place. Big silver spring clips(in tiers the middle) it looked like and smaller clips(around the edges) just like the center shifter console clips. Pull that up if you don't know what I'm talking about. I asked the tech if it had any bolts and he said no, he then pulled the whole piece out and showed me. I knew I should have taken a photo.
As for the side a/c vents by the doors, I don't know. I have pulled like crazy and it wouldn't pop off. He didn't have those apart on the car I saw..
Hope this helps some..

Just remember not to pull too hard. The hazzard lights are plugged in toward the top. Didn't look like the wires were very long..
I wish the dealer was closer. I'd go back and take pics.

Were you able to get that off, Geoffrey? I'm thinking about putting a black glossy vinyl to match my piano black interior.

Haven't tried yet. My move to New Orleans is in full effect, so I have to concentrate on the mods I need to do to my new house for a while!

Did mine today and posted on main discussion section as well. The speedo trim piece pulls straight out. There are two large clips holding the piece in at about the 11 and 1 position of the dial with smaller tabs all the way around. I gently started prying with my fingers and worked my way all the way back around til I had them lose and then worked around again til the piece popped off. The connection with the hazard indicator is only a few inches long so don't get to aggressive. I hope this helps. My pieces didn't come out perfect so I will most likely redo them once I decide that i like them. The other option would be black. I used Plastidip paint so starting over shouldn't be to big of a deal.

Looks great. I thought about going with matte black but decided the high gloss black would give some different texture to the black interior. After seeing your pics, I may need to rethink this.

I had the exact same thought since I have the piano black interior, the matte black is now outside drying on everything but my side vents. I'll do those when it isn't pouring rain.
