Interior/Exterior So Much Drone!!!
So Much Drone!!!
Anybody else have a Quicksilver exhaust and have a major drone issue? I'm sure the runflats aren't helping either.
Anywho, I'm pulling the trigger and dynamat-ing the crap out of the car. I've already done the hatch, the doors are next on the list..
but, how the heck do I get behind the rear interior panels??
Please don't tell me I have to take out the rear bench....please.

Ok....don't take out the rear bench....
But the the lower cushion is VERY EASY to fold up....giving you access to the area you want to dynomat....
But one observation....with the cost of dynomat, a different exaust might be more cost effective....just sell the droney one after you install the new one to recoup the $$ for the new one....
It may also be possible to add a resionator (or swap the current one out for a bigger one) to her rid of the drone....a custom exaust shop can give good advise.

Thanks Zippy. When I did the rear end, I skipped the battery box, out of pure laziness. I'll pull the battery and do it this afternoon.
The Quicksilver just sounds so good, and I get awesome back-rap, I don't think I could bear to part with it. And, to be honest, I think alot of the noise/drone is tire related...not a fan of what rubber I'm currently running...

did the battery box, and MUCH better. I can hold a conversation with out having to yell. I still get some exhaust noise in the cab, enough to remind you you're not driving a stock car.
