4 inch tips and first bath

Well, the weather finally cooperated around here, and my Prima products showed up just in time! Thanks for everyone's advice on what to use for washing.
Here are the 4 inch tips. Thanks to Mavic1010 for sending them. We had to crimp the ends to get them small enough to fit, but we managed. They look fantastic.

See you removed your 4" tips and replaced with JCW tips. Any issues with heat from tips melting/warping the clack plastic trim surrounding it? I went to muffler place today and they recommended against getting larger tips because of concerns about melting the plastic trim. What is the outside diameter of the JCW tips? Thanks.

Very nice tips. Do you know the outside diameter? 3"? 3.5". Any melting or warping of plastic trim? I went to muffler shop today and they recommended against going larger than oem because of potential heat damage to the black trim.

No problem with my replacement tips. I've got 4300 miles in 2 months with absolutely no damage to the plastic trim around the 4 inch tips I had installed.

I used the Magnaflow 35124 SS Tips.

2.25" Inlet
4.00" Outlet
4.5" Overall Length

There was still modifications to be done to the Inlet because the CM Pipe was still smaller in diameter to the 2.25" inlet end.

Lightbulb One BIG Dump

Here's an alternative to the twin exhaust tips everybody seems to be running. This black cavern is on the end of an Alta 3" cat-bac, but I don't think Alta offers it anymore. It does get some stares from other MINI owners!

OOPS! Just saw this is a Countryman thread. Sorry.

I got mail! After reading this thread there was no way I could hold back. I have an appointment for Friday morning to put them on. I'll post some pics and maybe a video clip if the sound is different..

I can't wait to see those installed, ALL4TURBO!

I'm planning to order the matte black tips, but I'm dying to see the black pipes sticking out of the CM.
