Spraying the inside of the headlight of a 02 model

How hard is it to open up and spray certain parts black ? Ive seen a few around. I just want to know as some people have told me its a mission to split it open and will eventually crack in the process

Is it a projector headlight or regular halogen? I would bake it apart if I were you, mid to low 200F for 5 minute intervals to see if it will pry apart with slight force, but not breaking it.

its a regular halogen. the 1st gen non xenon lights. Ive heard about lenses cracking with doing that:(
Can anyone confirm that they have done this without breaking anything?

i did mines a few weeks ago and the only thing I broke was one tab from the silver ring, no biggie though. It is also held with double sided tape.
I put mine in the oven for 6 minutes at 220. Try the lower temp first 200 and wait the 5 minutes. they just pry open no problem. make sure you use high temp paint, when you are painting them.

What are you planning on painting? I sure hope it isn't the lens or reflector...
