Sorry for the confusion. I am only on week 3 of owning my mini.
Oh ok, cool. A panel makes more sense now. I think I refer to it as the scuttle panel, but who knows what is right. I did my hood scoop, no biggie. I bet it would look so-so. Plasti-dip is not at its best when covered over a large area, especially flat. It is worth a try but how hard is it to take off. Plasti-dip is not necessarily easy to tape off and peel like a normal paint technique.

the only taping off would be around the little side vent where the "S" is and at the top where the belt line is. If done right cutting around the edges with a razor very carefully would do the trick.
