i think the A-frame that he is talking about is the black glossy covers that cover the A-pillar?

Love the look of a black a-panel on pepper white. Also like the temporary side of Plastidip. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

I'm actually referring to the body panel right behind the front fender and before the door.

The OP is talking about the fender.

Go to: http://lylesvinylstyles.com/

Click "euro" then "Mini" then "r56" then "new fender overlays"

Yes, that's exactly what I mean!! Just curious if anyone has tried to use Plastidip. http://lylesvinylstyles.com/euro/min...er_overlay.jpg

Sorry for the confusion. I am only on week 3 of owning my mini.

Oh ok, cool. A panel makes more sense now. I think I refer to it as the scuttle panel, but who knows what is right. I did my hood scoop, no biggie. I bet it would look so-so. Plasti-dip is not at its best when covered over a large area, especially flat. It is worth a try but how hard is it to take off. Plasti-dip is not necessarily easy to tape off and peel like a normal paint technique.

I cant recommend Lyle's vinyl wrapping enough, FYI. Durable and looks professional as hell!

oooh my bad. we all use different terms lol

the only taping off would be around the little side vent where the "S" is and at the top where the belt line is. If done right cutting around the edges with a razor very carefully would do the trick.

That's a neat idea, I might try it when the snow and wind let up. I have a can just sitting on a shelf right now.
