Target has a really great organizer that seems to be made for the MINI. It can be collapsed to different extents, depending on how much stuff you want it to hold. Its width is identical to the MINI's trunk depth, and it can fully extend to about 2/3 of the trunk's width. It has multiple velcro pockets and several dividers. I picked one up for $15 at Target.

I can't recall the brand name, but from what I remember Target seems to have allied itself with two brands: Baja, for care care accessories (brushes, towels, wash buckets, very good prices by the way) and this other brand that makes automotive accessories, such as safety kits and organizers. Their automotive dep't isn't very big, so I'm sure you could easily find it. I'll try to post the brand though later.

I just ordered new wipers from SilBlade this morning, which means I've gone over 4 hours without purchasing something for the MINI.
So off to Target I go...

I hope these pics work, as I'm not sure if my photo site allows this or not from external links, but here goes. Just stupid digiphone pics.

The brand is Axius. It's very clever for $15 as it has pen holders, larger velco pockets for stuff on either side and removable dividers.

Guess its back to Target for the 3rd time today. First for a birthday present, then an umbrella, now for the organizer. Thanks for the tip. (....must resist in-store Starbucks....)

Glad you like it. I happen to have designed a majority of the Axius line of Auto organizers, sunshades and other auto interior stuff a few years ago when I lived in LA. The cargo bags and back seat organizers have done really well. in fact you can find most of the stuff at Wal-mart, some Auto-zones, Sams clubs, etc. Most of it is pretty 'soccer-mom' stuff, but there are a few gems out there, including that trunk organizer.

rrypma,

Thanks for the info on the trunk organizer! I stopped by Target last night and actually found a duplicate one at the end of the isle in a red Christmas box. It was marked $10 and rang up at $8 when I checked out. It is exactly the same with additional mesh pockets on each side.

Thanks again!

Jason

The one I got can fully expand to a length longer than half the width of the trunk. If you don't have that much to fill it, then it can expand to various "levels" by means of a series of clasps along the outside. This would explain the price difference.

All these great tips! I'm also tempted to run right out to Target but my fear of the weekend pre-Christmas crowds present another test of my ability to defer gratification until tomorrow.

I made it 2 whole months awaiting my MC's arrival, even if it did take lots and lots of meds and an occasional slap in the face from friends. I can do it, I can do it, I can....maybe I can wait.

Thanks for the tip. I just picked one up (same on as in the picture above) at Target a few minutes ago on sale for $10. Nicely adjustable
