Stock MCS with just JCW Side Skirts

Hi guys,
I was just wondering how easy it might be to add the JCW side skirts on a stock MCS without a body kit. Is it necessary to add the entire kit? Has anyone done this? Is it a complicated undertaking?

Thanks in advance!

They should work just fine with the regular kit. I have been thinking about doing it, just not quite there yet. It's just a matter of getting them painted and install. Once you do it shoot some pics and post them.

i was looking into this all week, funny to find it almost right at the same time... these side skirts are not cheap (not sure why.. prob cause not many people offer them.. ).. i found some on ebay, as well as the link above but that like above was the best bet as far as factory parts you just have to convert the price from pounds stering, factor in shipping, painted or not, (you have that option).. big picture = equals costly. also make sure it will line up with the states measurements. thats a uk based operation and you should just inquire and confirm everything will fit nicely.
http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...de_skirts.html

has them too but there fricken $800! for a few hundred more you may as well get the entire aero kit or just wait for one of the dealerships to put on on sale like this one.. (although i never like going through the dealer, they have the warrantys and you know they will fit)

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...egoryID=126740

not a bad price on stuff like JCW coilovers too. try to find one out of your state so you dont have to pay state sales tax and work them on the shipping or paint...

at what ever rate, keep us informed.. i'll be following this one too cause i think it would be a nice addition if you didnt get the whole body kit...

Really, the sideskirts are nice, but just like everyone is saying....they are $$$! I just wish someone aftermarket would come out with some nice skirts that were more reasonably priced. Not some outrageous looking ones, just nice and sleek/smooth ya know.

I have been thinking about this upgrade for awhile as well. Personally I dont like the look of the aero kit front and rear bumpers, I just want the side skirts. I want to paint them to match the roof and all of the other plastic, wheel arches and front an rear lower dams. If someone comes up with a parts list let me know. THANKS

Ok here is what I figure… if the R56 JCW Primered Side Skirt – complete- per side is UK£ 151.37 = 236.19 U.S. dollars (UK£ 177.86 VAT
= 277.52 U.S. dollars) at http://www.minigenuineparts.co.uk/mini-parts/info_JCWR56LHsideskirt.html that’s $556 for a primered side skirt set (great deal). Shipping would probably be between 2-300+, but I’m only guessing (getting worse). You would still have to paint them ‘your’ color. That’s $856(+?) unpainted, unfortunately it looks like the ones here, http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...de_skirts.html , although pricey, may be the better deal. But, you again, would still have to paint those as well… All and all your looking around a $G+ for side skirts either way, unless either A.) the shipping is less, B.) the paint is less, C.) you some how get them used, or D.) you found a place/ way to get em for cheaper… (if D please let me know )

I installed a complete JCW Aero Kit on my Clubman S, which is not much different than the regular Cooper S.

The dealer wanted over 600.00 to install it. I completed the entire job in about 4 hours with lots of interuptions.

The side skirts are actually the easiest part to put on. after finishing the drivers side, the passenger side was a NO brainer.

When removing the Stock kit, you will break most every plastic clip. Just make sure the new kit comes with all new plastic clips. I have the COMPLETE JCW Kit for a Clubman (front bumper, rear bumper and side skirts pre painted with black arches) I don't care for the painted arches, plus they don't do painted arches for the clubman yet.

just curious how you came up with 1300 from this site? and i contacted them, shipping for the JCW kit was around 600+ to the states... did not ask about just the side skirts

I used on online converter. It was just $1300 for the kit without shipping. Maybe I'm wrong but than the converter I used is wrong as well.

1130+ unpainted + shipping
or
1400+ prepainted + shipping from my converter
but i too could be wrong... its pounds sterling. when i emailed them they said 388 pounds stering for shipping, this is for the entire kit though...

The JCW Aero Kit for "the Clubman" is 2295.00 PAINTED. I got 20% off from my dealer which is pretty standard if you buy the car from them. So, I paid 1835.00 and I installed it myself.

The link you posted is for the kit in PRIMER. The Clubman Kit in Primer is 1895.00 less 20% or 1516.00.

I just called classic mini with the part numbers I found on realoem's website. Parts without paint or shipping is about 660.15. That doesnt seem to bad to me. I wonder what the going rate is for painting these parts?
