Has anybody painted their plastic fender arches in something other than body color? I have a PS/B and it just dawned on me after seeing pics of MINIs with body color arches that I could paint mine black which would match the black already there as I love the contrast but they would look much smoother and cleaner (have used some products such as Mother's Back-to-Black with less than satisfactory results...to me anyway).

do you just paint over the black arches that the cars come with or is that an aftermarket option / part? i'd really like to get my arches painted indi-blue myself.

 

that was my gf's car, she had the dealership paint the fenders black. You could probably go to any paint shop, and have them do, just make sure the color match the paint

To do it yourself you need the right equipment, like the spray gun and stuff. But, to answer your question. The painted arches are the stock arches. They use a primer/filler to fill the texture and then paint.

thanks for the examples. ironically, not that I saw how the
indiblue looked with the R90's (same as mine), I think
im going to leave the arches black. (no offense to the
owner of that cooper, just not my style).

 

i have dark silver with arches painted black. it look so good!

now it makes me think if i have a black MCS, what will be like if i paint the arches dark silver...

i know it will look for sure!

 

So how much does the dealer charge to have the flares painted black?
