I probably won't do the roof but you never know. My friend has access to the machines and the vinyl to make whatever I want. the stripes read
Front--------------Rear
S---------------M
R---------------I
E(backwards)--N
P---------------I
O
O
C

They look great, btw.

There is nothing on the left. I started ths project going to make the wide stripe/Narrow stripe down one side of the bonnett and boot( see cooper flags) I liked this better than the stock stripes(I didn't like the white pinstripe) and liked the effect of the one dual stripe because few cars had it. The I decided to do a tribal design and couldn't find any I liked So I came up with combining MINI Cooper into a tribal design( I did something similar for a friends tattoo a few years ago but design was never used) So I left the design on one side. Opinions: anyone think I should mirror it on the other side or leave it as is. Also I believe its blacknblue/blue iguana has some nice stripes, He covered the white pinstripe with grey on a blue S(not sure what blue but the darker one) with black roof and it looks awesome, how about some pictures Juan.

good eye, yes it does. i believe from your other threads that you are in the San Diego area have you thought or joined any of the clubs such as SCMM.org or west coast MINI, if not they are a fun crowd wit lots of enjoyable events and track days.

Very Cool. I had a similar idea and it has evolved to doing stripes with Celtic patterns. Any anglo pattern would be an option. I like the thought of taking the MINI far back to the roots of its country of origin.

Personally i think having just the one offset looks great. I wouldn't change a thing.

Actually, Grendel, I live in Sacramento - but I'd like to get involved in MINI clubs n'stuff up here. Can you refer me to any good groups?

Right now I'm saving up the down payment, but I'd like to learn more about car care, maintenance, and mods for the Cooper S. This will be my first new car, and it would be great if I could get "under the bonnet" and do some of my own work.

I don't know any Nor Cal clubs, but if you go to forums, page down to Northern California it will link you to people in your area. There is a post for people in Sacremento. This is the first time I'm under the Bonnet too, this site has helped

Yep, I've posted over there (just to introduce myself), but the forum doesn't seem terribly active. Perhaps it's worth another look.
