Interior/Exterior Orciari Seatback conversion?
yah i was looking at that too myself. that's a cool backing they have. wonder if the CF ones are black CF instead of that red they have at their site.
wen my funds are up again, im going to talk to Eddy to see if i can setup an
appointment to check it out. i believe he has the ABS one instock right now but
it will need to be painted to make it look good.

Besides the funtionality of the seat add-on, I like the protection it gives the seat back. I'll be hauling my kids around in my car and want to save the seat back. I'd have them painted in a durable, matte finish that can take some punnishment. Almost like that rubberized paint you see in trunks and truck beds. Not thick Rhino liner stuff, but paint.
UPDATE
Just got off the phone with Chris at BMP/ProMini. He confirmed that the seat back is to firm what they consider a good factory seat. It just needs a little help in adding lumbar support and stiffen the seat for performance oriented drivers. The part comes in a ABS plastic that looks good as it is, but as shown atBMP and on the CC-B site, they can be primed and painted.
It will not compromise the air bags.
Price for a pair is $319. Much cheaper than the $499 I originally quoted.

yeah, I went to the BMP show.
They had these on both their wild cars, the EB Blue Thunder, and their new prototype with Turbo engine.
On the EB car, IMHO the seatbacks and also dash trim in EB, were way over the top, I did not like them, even though the rest of both cars was really cool!

I didn't see the carbon fiber one and Chris at ProMini was not aware of one in cf. The backs screw on, to what part of the seat frame I don't know. Perhaps Casey will catch this thread and enlighten us, maybe even send pictures.
MG -BT, As far as the over the top factor, it's all in the eye of the beholder. Personaly,I wouldn't do the seat backs in body color no matter what color my car was. I think a color as close to the seat it goes onto would be the most attractive.

you are absolutely right, this just my personal opinion. I do agree that in a neutral color, or even exposed CF, they might look really cool! And I shouldn't say too much, since I painted my own speedo and dash vent trim rings in EB, but they are the thin factory trim rings.
De gustibus non est disputandum.....
