i did 35% on all windows besides windscrean and did the sun room with limo for 175$

 

I got my tint from ilovemymotor.com on Monday and I am planning to install myself this weekend. I spent $40 including tools and pre-cut tint... They claim it is 3M tint...

I am about to get my windows tinted as well. The shop I'm going to quoted me $250 and said "The tint we use is a color stable chorcal with a lifetime warranty against bubbling and color change." My question is what exactly is a chorcal tint?

 

5% in the back, $150, 35% in the front, $80. $230 total. Llumar material. Tint goes to the edge of the window.

The dot matrix on the MINI is not that big as they are on other cars. Depending on the installer, they can make the dot matrix on the windows not as noticeable, but is difficult to do. For my car, some of it was pressed out so you cannot see the matrix, but when the glue dried the whole matrix was visible.

Call around. I went with my guy cause they have done great jobs on my previous vehicles compared to the cheaper competition in my area.

 

If it is 3M tint, it will have a repeating "3M" printed on the inside. This can be removed with alcohol and a cotton swab a week after you install it.

If it doesn't have the repeating "3M" it's not 3M film.
