i checked your pics... nice job.

i went with a satin red finish on the light lenses and a satin black on the x-chrome bezels.

i just finished surgery today on the OEM tails myself.

after years of rockin those alteezas, i finally put some custom painted OEM taillights in. now that ive got this huge spoiler and difuser, the OEM light looks so much better, classier, and simpler.

i havent taken a picture yet. but i suppose tommorrow would be good for that. stay tuned for the new rear end of RSR!

LOL about the Lebanon track! fun place to go bet on horses, it's a "real" down and dirty horse track.

Your lights came out awesome! I was about to try tinting mine red before I saw your write-up, i may try this now. Will you be coming to the Leprechaun Run this weekend? If you do I'll try to check them out in person.

BTW I'm all for a local get-together if you ever have one!

instructions: no guts... no glory !!!

dive in with the dremel !!!

THESE DIRECTIONS ARE FOR OLDER TAILLIGHTS ONLY !!! R53 2002-2004

after removing the light from the car and removing all of the trim foam tape, cut the clear part of the lens off using a dremel cutting wheel.

then there are three plastic rivets under the foam trim tape that got all the way to the back of the red plastic, you can see them from the front of the light. look for the waffle texture on the back of the light.

dremel from the back gently till you just barely see red and then punch the lenses out gently through the rivet holes with a screwdriver.

paint it.. then put it back together with black silicone!

werd werd,

samtrak and marla singer

Those actually have to be taken apart with a dremel ? I thought they'd be like the headlamps and i could use a heatgun on them too, since im going to Paint the inside of my headlamps at the same time.

Also, those would lok Hot with the clear centered Tails great job though
