Has anyone used the static cling racing stripes sold by minicooperparts.com? Also, can they be used on top of the 3M clear bra or Bodygard hood protector?

Do a search for magnetic stripes. I remember an earlier thread that warned about fading and moisture collection with these temporary decorations. You might want to look at those before deciding if they are worth it.

Is there also info about the static cling ones damaging paint or is that just the magnetic ones? Were the ones that flew off magnetic or static?

In my research it seems that magnetic stripes are not all the same. Some tend to fly off easy and leave hazing while others are much better. Not being much of a risk taker, though, I am wondering if static ones work OK and are safer.

At risk of glomming onto this thread (it is related) any insights?
