Sooo happy with the new wheel makes the car feel like new! Best mod ever.

 

Any problems going from two spoke to three? did you have to fabricate anything?

 

No, it is pretty much plug and play if you have all the parts. Obviously the air bag had to be upgraded along with the panels, but it took about 25 min to do the swap and ended up costing a little over $700 dollars when all was said and done . But it feels so right!

I got everything from Morristown Mini (great service and prices) except the Air Bag which I purchased of off eBay for $130!

 

Do you find that the steering is smaller in diameter as some have reported?

 

The JCW is slightly smaller in outer diameter and a bit more so in inner diameter due to the thickness. I did the 2-spoke to 3spoke swap also. As said, plug and play.

I had the Alcantara version first for about 15k miles but switched to the leather version as the Alcantara does not wear well at all.

I've got the airbag off Ebay, now I'm on hunt for the wheel and the 3 carbon pieces as I've not the multifunction steering wheel...

I'm reassured by the fact you say the swap is pretty straightforward, I hope I won't have problems when I'll have to do it

 

By the way, if you could make a tutorial it would be great
