I love mine but I don't have any pics on an R56. If you're down Fresno way, stop by and you can see how they look on your MINI.

if you want a nice feeling CF ****, definitely look at the jcw shift ****.

it's a little more expensive, but it's well worth it. It gives a real sporty feel. There's finger grips on the back side for pulling back to gears, and it has a nice top for pushing forward to gears. Get the leather one though, I've heard the alacantra ones start showing wear within 6 months.

dont know about the m7 installation process but the jcw just slides on and to take off the old **** throw it in 4th to get leverage and pull hard and avoid punching your self in the face and thats it!

I got mine thanks to SRTech it was the first mod. The look and feel is outstanding. I wrapped a small bit of rubber tape below the shift **** and slid the boot back over it. Once you do this you will have no regrets.

I like the m7 ****. As the spherical design goes, it's kick-***.

But at the same time, I must support the JCW shift ****, (which I have). It not only is also real carbon fiber, it is a modern interpretation of a pistol-grip shift ****, like those found in muscle cars back in the day. I really enjoy this ****. I have the leather version, (versus the alacantara), meaning that the front half of it is leather, and has finger slots for when you grip it. The back morphs into the top, and is super high-gloss carbon fiber.

Both the leather and carbon fiber sections are a tactile triumph to touch. The thing is really well made, and feels every bit worth the money. It is quite expensive, being an OEM part, but if you go through Classic MINI in Cleveland, they'll give you a 10% discount just for being a NAM member!

So while this **** goes for $130 elsewhere, I got mine for $116 with shipping.

Here are some pics of it installed:

Amen jonnieoh

My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that I wish it didn't have a big ol JCW badge on top. My car's only an S but that badge makes me feel like I'm "ricing" it up a bit.
