Well if you get a CAI like alta or M7, your putting fresh air right into the filter by having that thing.

I don't understand. I thought the m7 scoop was only available in fiberglass? Where did you get the carbon one?

***EDIT*** Nevermind...I see it's an order option directly from m7.

Yeah, I have been bugging them since they came out with the fiberglass one. So they had me down as a pre-order on it. They were shipping mine when they posted that they were available. WOOHOO!! Now if I can keep bugging them to come out with a grill for the rear bumper, then I'd be all good!

masterd78, it looks fantastic! Anyway you could get some pictures from a little farther back for me? Was the install tough? Or pretty easy?

The more I look at it, the more I like it, and I loved it to begin with.

I don't even have my MCS yet, and you've already got me thinking of ways to spend more money on it.

Thanks. Thanks a lot.

Install was a piece of cake! I can get some side pics tomorrow and post them up. Everything needed for the install is included. You get a 1/4" drill bit and then one of those progressive drill bits also. Simple, and the reward is worth it! Morbius, post some more pics of yours too, for a multiple car comparison.

Help with Installation

I will receive my M7 Vortex scoop next week, but I am a little concerned about having an easy "piece of cake" installation. Any advice that would help a novice make a clean, tight fitting installation (including removal of original scoop, drilling, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Your Mini looks great!
