I was wondering where everyone has bought their stripes, specifically ones that look exactly like the MINI factory option ones? Should I buy them from the dealer and pay the extra money?

I bought mine at Classic MINI to get the factory type stripes for a cheaper price.

The only thing is that I wish I got my stripes from CooperFlags to get the exact fit. I don't really like the extra space they leave with the ones from the factory. I would recommend getting your stripes from Cooper Flags.

Here's the best one I've got. It does show the little gap where the stripe meets the grill. I had to look real close to see it.

As fast as Mini drivers usually go in their Coopers, the last thing anyone ought to notice is a little gap.

Cooperflags is good- you can even do a custom design. New patterns and pictures arrive now and then.
and the selection is quite broad.

I'd like to find some stripes for the doors. I remember seeing one Web site that had them, including a nice wavy checkerboard and a regular straight line checkerboard, but my computer locked up and I can't find the page again.

OT question for Pebbles:

Is that the aero grill on your red, and if so, is the outer rim a separate pice?

Mine are static cling stripes from Minicooperparts ($25). I like them enough to buy 10 yards of 3M stock and make them my self for $30 and a ton of material left over for another 10 Minis

I like your fatter style Racing stripes too. We are installing our second set of those this week in White. We have also produced them in Metallic silver.

We will be report back with pictures soon.

We just started offering a line of Bonnet Stripes in a range of colors including Winning White, Rally Red, Burnout Black, Lotus Yellow, Sebring Silver or Trophy Gold.

They're cut extra long to allow you angle/position them any way you want (even parallel down the hood). The kit comes with a nice set of instructions, a test strip and application tool.

I'm going to put some yellow stripes on my BRG MCS....and maybe yellow calipers..I just hav'nt decided yet. Any suggestions?

In my opinion (and yes I'm biased) these are some of the best looking Standard Stripes I've seen. We have several other pictures posted in our Gallery section if you need additional ideas. We would be glad to help you out -

How would "Sebring Silver" bonnet stripes look on a DarkSilver/DS MCS? Anyone has a picture?

Thanks in advance.

I bought some stripe vinyl from autozone, its the perfect width. My stripes are spread further apart(like on the old classic mini), and no gaps at all

Any old sign shop will do as well. I got mine made at a Signarama. I was their first MINI so they spent a lot of time making sure it was done right and they did an excellent job. I mocked up the stripes on die cast MINIs, before making a full size mockup, then I gave the electronic file to the sign shop. They cut them out and installed them.

I can vouch for these, just installed them today with the help of two friends. I didn't receive the test strip in the kit but we managed. The stripes look great just take your tiime installing if you are gonna do it.
