Transformation has begun/green stripes installed!

Got the stripes on! Gotta say, I love the color combination. I also did something a little bit different with the spoiler and am still on the fence with it. I like it, because it almost looks like they're flapping in the wind, but yeh. I AM leaning more to liking it

Love it.

By the way, with the dark headlights, I think blacking out the grill would look really good -- just a thought.

Looks great! I agree, blackin out the grill would be a nice touch.

Btw, did you paint or vinyl the headlight rings?

An aero kit grill will be on the way next paycheck! Have to admit, I'm a little bit scared of the modifying needed to fit it, but hey, where's the fun without a little danger.
Anyone in kansas city area want to help with that?

As for the headlight rings and sidemarkers and joey mod: good ol paint. It's been done now for about 2 weeks and no chips or anything like that. Time will tell how well it holds up but hey, can always touch up with ease.

What I was also thinking was to black out the hood scoop. Just not sure how that would look, though

The plan is to get rid of all chrome. Then I was thinking either black or gunmetal wheels with a possible green time attack stripe on them

Can't wait to see the finished product.

I would hold off on the scoop though -- may be too much and may look funny that close to the green stripes.

Will look more cordinated with the grill de-chromed. I prefer Chrome on a MINI, but to each their own.

I agree, it needs some green on the sides as well. Don't know if I would do a black scoup or a green grill though.

Well, I'm glad it's meeting all this approval! Good to know i'm going in the right direction
I thought the hood scoop would be a bit much, so i think i'm just leaving that as is.
I would like some advice on wheels, though, and color choices!

The scoop might look good in a matching green. Especially if the stripes touched the scoop. The spoiler looks really cool like that too.

Great job, but for me I would have carried the stripes down the boot and on the hood-to the chrome grill or maybe even down the whole front end...
Just me though...as long as you are happy that is all that counts!

The color combo looks great. I really like the way you stopped the stripes right at the scoop instead of carrying them beyond with a big-ole "No Stripe" area in the middle.

that's actually kind of funny because i WANTED it down to the chrome, but something got lost between me and the installer and he stopped there. When i got there, I liked it enough, so i went with it
(i TRIED installing myself but that was a mega fail so i paid some pros to do it for 40 bucks. Well worth it to me)
