searocko, I noticed that too lately but never put 2 and 2 together about the antenna

Rippymcs, thought about that but I need a guinea pig or at least detailed pictures of the mounting base and good measurements.

Sorry - I do have my "grooved" antenna and it looks great - sorry no photos, I've been slacking.

I do notice that it does not work as well as my previous antenna, which was smaller than stock but larger than this one - one notoriously weak FM station has noticibly more static with the new antenna, and I notice that AM stations are not as clear as before. The majority of in-town stations are no different though so IMHO it's worth the slight degradation in reception for the better look of this antenna. And yes, the fit was exceptional - great work!

I'll shoot some photos of the antenna later today most likely - again sorry.

I received mine in the mail today. It looks great and with local stations it tested very well. In fact, I have an FM transmitter device that I use with my iPhone, and it appears to have less ambient interference. So all-in-all I would have to say that I am quite pleased with this purchase. Below is a non-artistic picture that I just took.

Thanks, Kyle, I'm glad I stumbled across your thread.

Dude! I am so happy with the antenna! Got it in the mail all bundled up very nice. The looks are perfect. Fits like stock. Radio works the same. This is an awesome little accessory that will make the car look different. It's nice to get rid of the RC car lookin antenna.

If this was Ebay he would get an A+

Thanks!

Hey "Kid" are you needing to pay for another track day? I'm in the market for an antenna for my 02 MCS.
