Here are a few pictures of my last batch of antennas. I am still learning how to powdercoat so i would say the finish is marginally better than the previous 5 that I made. The finish has a light orange peel look.

Hi all, I was looking closely at the powder coating on the batch that I made last, and only 2 were ok. I mailed those out to the two that payed first. I am going to repowder coat the rest and mail them out on Saturday. Sorry for the delay.

The antennas are all repowdercoated. I think this these are the best I have made so far. I will post pictures when I get to my computer.

I got mine today and it's beautiful. Sadly it won't fit...guess I missed the note on post #17 that said it's for R53s only. I'll be returning mine so there'll be one more back on the market.

With the stock antenna, I always used to get a loud hum on AM stations when driving under the high tension wires in the area from the EMF emissions. With the "Kid" mod, no more hum!

 

If you could make them with 6mm thread, I think a lot of R56 owners would want one as well.
