Custom Side Vent Vinyl from AC Installed

I installed a custom set of union jack side vent vinyl from Aesthetic Creations today. Metallic Dark Silver, Black and Red to match my car's color scheme. Love them!

The vinyl from AC ready to go on. To get the side vents off, pull directly forward towards the front of the car. They eventually pop off with enough force. Let go as soon as they pop so you don't break any clips.

I took out the side marker bulbs to give them the old Krylon Silver paint treatment to take the orange out of the clear sidemarker lenses. Just coat them enough to take the orange mostly out. They will light up bright orange. (Shown later)

First one complete.

Both complete!

Another shot with flash to show the metallic Dark Silver.

Installed.

Blinker almost caught by the camera. Don't worry, they are bright orange when lit.

Thanks AC for the special order!

This looks really great. I'll probably do this with my Clubman S when I get it. I'll have to decide if I want to stick with the standard Union Jack color or if a BRG body calls for something else.

No. It is a molded part of the side vent.

I am planning on buying a set of these. I want to get the set with the union jack in the center and the checkers around. shown on the site here http://www.aestheticreations.net/vin...icstickers.htm. i want to cut off the checkers and just have the union jack in the center and leave the chrome exposed around the edge. does anyone have this or anything like it? i've tried to contact mike at a/c but he's pretty busy i guess and hasn't got back with me.
also, how was the install? did you use a paint thinner or mineral spirits to leave it mobile until dry so it can be set right?

I bought the flat black ones to keep with my CR/B theme. They are pretty easy to install. I did a dry install and with a lot of patience, they went on quite nicely. I like these over the wraps or painting since the cutouts for the them leave just a slight chrome accent for depth.
