Well upon someone's recommendation on MCO, I ordered a pair of Silblade wipers. Right away you can tell the difference, feels so much more sturdy than the crappy MINI rubber ones.... Got to use it today in the rain, and damn they are sharp! They clear the windshield PERFECTLY with NO streaking. Also since they are silicone, they last for years. Probably one of the cheapest yet most useful mods so far.

When you ordered them, did you have to specify a certain size or do you order by car make?

What color did you go for?

See ya,

So these replace the frames that hold the blades as well as the blades themselves? If so, was it easy to replace the stock frame?

Your MINI dealer will replace your wipers free of charge. It's considered part of the Free Maintanence, or at least, I've never been charged for them. With a fresh set, you'll see no streaks, nor hear squeeks. Not bad for zero dollars.

Yeah and in a month they will be crap again, and youll have to keep bringing it in.

Also these were a sinch to install. Snap the old arms out of the socket...atatch a piece to the silblade arm and snap it in.

ok, ok, well, I'm not exactly the "mechanical" type. I feel it will be quite the shiznit. Would accent the BRG/W quite well with white wipers. I notice that they have rear blades available as well. Of course, blades have to match. Problem though, is that I believe the washer is in the blade (I think). Will replacing the wipers do-away with my washer in the rear?

huh huh huh, he said washer in the rear.

No... the rear washer jet is located at the base of the wiper arm. And it is ajustable, which is a good thing because the way mine was delivered, it barely sprayed anything in the wiper path.

I need to figure out if the front washer jets are adjustable now...

Tired of the leftover rain blob where the blade sweep meets? Try installing the longer one on the driver's side (left drive) and the shorter one on the passenger side. Works better - no blob.

Yup...use a pin (or even pen) and you can rotate the jets. A little movement goes a long way...and unfotunately it's hard to move them just a little. Oh well.
