I have yet to do this - I have to find someone I know willing to let me use their oven....my oven is so old I don't trust the "set" temperature.
Heat gun works great and is about $20 at walmart. Also, there is plenty of sticky glue crap that you don't need to apply anything. Day after I did this mod, drove my car in pouring Florida rain and no problems since. I have noticed just a little tiny crack where others have mentioned they had blistering, but I did not use Krylon High Temp paint. I used Rustoleum High Temp and did not primer anything. When it gets more noticeable I'll take them off again and repaint.

Awesome! Just do it. I was on the fence about doing it for the longest time and then I just grew a pair and did it!

I'm a little confused on the best paint to use. I want to go black with my standard headlights can someone send me a link of a paint that I can just spray on without doing anything else to the lights.

I would at least use some 600+ grit before painting. Krylon fusion high temp paint seems to have had the best results.

If you're going to use the 600+ before painting, you might as well use the self-etching primer as well. - I'm sure it would make it last twice as long. - I used it on my rims before spray painting them and they still look like new 10,000 miles later.

It's the fear of breaking them and having to pay up for new ones. Ovens and car parts just doesn't seem to go well in the mind (though I am a firm believer of the heat gun)

All you need to do is set the fear aside and go for it. Trust me it will come out great and everything will work. Just do enough research beforehand

Ok I thought about this to much I'm just going to man up and paint the damn headlights. Tomorrow I'm going to buy the paint and start working on the Joey Mod Process. I have came to the conclusion if everyone in this thread can do it so can I.

I just thought of something. I just got my new PW MCS clear bra'ed which included the headlights.

What would happen to the clear bra if i bake it in the oven. Has anyone had experience with this?

So I got all my supplies today and I'm going to start tackling the Joey Mod Monday when I get home from work. I had a good idea about the orange turn signal I bought some tint and going to tint the orange cover. It's going to match the side turn signal thats already tinted.

Ok all my pieces are painted just letting them dry out. I tinted the turn signals and they came out ok well see when the whole unit goes back together. I'll have them back together tonight but will probably be to dark for pics.
