Removing Chrome

I'm going for the all black look for the Mini. So far, I've considered either getting vinyl to cover the chrome up, replacing it (if this is even possible) with OEM non-chrom, or having them painted black.

What are your thoughts on the easiest out of those? I'm also considering repainting the whole car a more flat-black and obviously it would be easier to just paint the chrome parts if I did. I'm thinking eliminating all the chrome except for the molding around the car (base of windows etc) and having the center of the chrome grill blacked out with a little chrome around the edges.

Thoughts/suggestions?

EDIT: Wrong section! Could someone toss this in the 1st gen area?

Oh WOW. Just what I was looking for. I'm a bit confused on the Core Charge. I read about that, but am still confused...does this mean that you supply all the parts finished and I just send you my parts when it arrives?

How much is everything minus the hood scoop, and boot handle wrap ...(so I'm thinking it would includes rear lights, front lights- xenon, front grill area, side repeaters, belt line, gas cap, black accented emblems, door handles...I'm talking black here. Also do you have pictures of satin black versus gloss black? What do most people order (satin or gloss)? How difficult is doing the door handles myself as far as dissasembly/assembly?

Yes, we supply the parts (wrapped to your specs), mail them to you, and you make the swap.

Shoot us an e-mail @ vinylstyles@gmail.com so we can get the rest of your questions answered.

Thanks,

Lyle

What is the difference between satin and flat black? What would you recommend to best match the wheel arches?

The satin black will have a slight sheen to it. The flat black won't.
