Alta Goes all out to fix messed up order

So cool, I got an Alta light bar for Christmas. Awesome, right? However, when I opened the (still sealed) shipping container and removed the IPF light boxes, I was shocked to discover that while one pair was A-OK, the other was missing one light cover, the IPF sticker, and most importantly, the God damn wiring harness. Has anyone had any problems like this from Alta? Because I haven't before. Also, I've written Alta an email, but any other thoughts on what I could do?

UPDATE: Alta has really gone all out to fix this. Out motoring also assured me that they would work with Alta to resolve this. In the end, I think the blame lies in the hands of IPF. But their products are still good. Accidents Happen.

Call Jeff Parrin Directly. I always deal with him and he has always taken care of me. He is a great guy as is the entire ALTA staff. I have had some minor issues with the biggest being my light bar had a bad powder coat and it rusted in less than 9 months, but guess what... ALTA shipped me a brand new one and I only had to ship my old one to them, no questions asked, they just "inspected" it and sent a new one out. It only took about 10 days and this was when they were in the middle of moving shops!!!
Give em' a call, don't loose faith in ALTA.
Chris.

... Call Alta? Why would you post on a forum that Alta forgot to put a sticker and a harness in with your order. The employees at ALTA are human, they make mistakes. Call them, explain the situation, and move on. If they refuse to remedy the situation, that's when you come on here and explain what happened.

I had the same problem with a pulley I purchased from them. The larger problem was I drove over an hour to the shop to have it installed when the missing bolt was discovered! Luckily, the shop was able to reshape my stock one to work. When the shop called Alta to tell them it was missing, the shop tried to blame it on me. Well, I never even opened the box. Needless to say I wasn't very happy. Alta did help Johnny at Johnny's Auto Clinic in Long Beach with the situation over the telephone. I do give all of the credit to Johnny though!

I have purchased other products from Alta that have been perfect. I love their parts and have continued to recommend them and purchase them.

I wasnt trying to rag on Alta. I have other of their products thatve been fine. I was just curious. If anything it was probably IPFs fault seeing as how the parts were missing from their box. I just wanted to know if Alta has resolved issues like this before, because they havent reponded to me email yet.

Sorry you had an issue with the order. Not to make excuses but we do not open the packages from IPF. If something is missing then it was done by them not us. However, we can CERTAINLY take care of it for you!

Either PM me your contact information and order # or e-mail ken.jubb@altaminiperformance.com or holly.crary@altaminiperformance.com and they will GLADLY take care of it.

Side note, but I am sure you have checked this, the one cover is installed on the lamp the other is not. So it may be in the back side of the packaging along with the harness. Just double check.

Thanks again for choosing ALTA. But in the future, PLEASE allow us the opportunity to serve you via phone, before posting here. I want you to get the most accurate and quick reply, vs. me bumping into this online.

You're a vendor. You don't get paid to sleep.

Maxmini - keep this in mind pal, Nick (Rusty) was trying to help and so am I, use some common sense before trying to run over a vendor, you may not always find a nice soul like Adam on the other end.

Fixed

Alta definitely assured me that the issue would be fixed. Out Motoring also promised to make sure the problem was resolved. It has been brought to my attention that the title of my post was a bit harsh. I agree. The fact is that I have several parts from Alta, and I love the performance and quality of each of them. Out Motoring is also a great distributor. Both of these companies have been great to buy from, and work hard to take care of their customers. Please don't let my incident scare you off of either of these companies.

Hey, I gave Palo Uber the benefit of the doubt for months before I went the other way on them. I think all vendors deserve a chance to fix a problem. I had very good experiences with problems that were addressed quickly and responsibly by Craven, American MiniMates, and M7. However, as far as I am concerned Palo Uber deserves everyone's scorn, even if they at least deserved a chance to show they were good guys first; they failed.

Actually, the vendor's responsiveness in this thread was quite noteworthy -- to the point that it finally convinced me to quit waffling and put in my rally light bar order earlier today -- which I did!
