I want to replace my factory headlight bulbs with some bright white bulbs.
But I am not sure which ones to use.
Who has done it and which bulbs did you use?

I have used the Philips Vision Plus bulbs before and like those a lot. They are "white" compared to stock, but if you want something even whiter out of a high quality bulb I would go with the Philips Blue Vision. The Blue Vision are a little closer in hue to the Xenons if you are trying to match your high beam color to the xenon.

I must admit, I am looking to reproduce the bright white/blue of the xenon.
Anyone else?

Saw the Philips Blue Vision lamp at Sears, but not for the MINI. Has anyone looked at the PIAA lamp? And how much does it cost as replacement?

Blue Headlight Protective film

It's not a lightbulb, but it is cool and something to consider. It will give that HID Blue look and protect your headlights too. I'm waiting for mine to arrive in the mail.

Here's what I going to use for both my headlights and fogs:

Pricey, but I've seen them. Closest I've seen to HIDs.

Check out this site for color ranges:

I purchased some H7 bulbs 5100K 5 months ago and have had no problems. He now has some 5800K bulbs plus some more expensive Xenon bulbs.

When the healights on my 72 AMC Pacer died, I just bought some Wal-Mart flashlights and taped them to the front. Worked like a charm.

I have ordered both the Philips Blue Vision and Vision Plus from Powerbulbs in the U.K. They have a currancy converter on the site and shipping is included in the price of the bulbs. They show up in your mailbox about 1-2 weeks after you order.

Okay. just my two cents... Just purchased a pair of pair of PIAA x-treme white bulbs that replaced my Philips Blue Vision bulbs that replaced my stock bulbs. The Phillips were better than my stock bulbs and have only had the the PIAA's for less than a week. They seem to be brighter and do have a more xenon look when on but I will reserve judgement until a midnight run.

Just a thought .... PIAA only makes h-7 bulbs for non usa markets

Peace Out

CB

I have the PIAA x-treme white as well. For me they were the best value and big improvement over stock. Now my high beams are as white as my low beams...
