Chrome Line Retrofit "Install" Interior

OK, I just recently installed a portion of my "retrofit" chromeline interior.
The parts include
1) CenterCluster
2) RH & LH A/C Vents
3) RH & LH door release bezels
4) 3 Cup holder bezels
5) RH & LH Door speaker (Bass) bezels
6) RH & LH Door speaker (Mid-range) Bezels
Standard Radio

So far I have been unlucky in getting the Tach surround bezel but, my parts guy is working on it. ( Otherwise it comes with a new Tach= $537.00 Ouch!!)

The parts above, minus the Tach problem was approx. $275.00
Unixgal was a great help on the install. See the link below.
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=110837

The directions are the same with or without Nav.
To change the right and left A/C vents are as follows.

1) Pull down the window weather strip. It's just glued in place ("A" pillar)
2) With a small screwdriver, pull out the "airbag" cover, pry lightly from the
side closest to the rear of the car. Then pull the pillar covers from the
top towards you,,lightly. there are 2 clips in the cover.
3) Then pull off the side covers on the vents (R & L Side) they also snap in
place.
4) The vent assy. has 4 screws total 2 on the side facing the doors, 1 on top
underneath the "A" pillar, and 1 on the dash facing you.
5) The Dash cover behind the tach "Pulls" off from the bottom. Tug firmly and
it will release. There are 3 clips behind this piece.
6) The right side A/C Vent has a small plastic cover (underneath the storage
compartment door, if you have the storage compartment) which just pulls
off and the screw is behind it.
Re-install in reverse and your back in business.

Cup holder rings just snap in and out
The door release bezels have a "pin" on the bottom, just pull the pin down and gently pull the bezel towards you.

I couldn't stand the "Fisher/Price Toy" look

Hope this helps those who want to change to Chrome.
Carl

Holy cow, $275 WITHOUT the tach??? I guess popping an extra $100 for it from the factory was a wise decision on my part. You must REALLY like chrome.

maybe you can sell your originals to someone who needs to have their dash in the "Blackout" mode.

I didn't "order" my Mini, But it came the close to the one I would have ordered, Hence no chromeline interior or LSD.
After I got my AB/AB Mini-S, My wife drove it all the time so, Back to the dealer and she now has her own Mini-S CR/B Convert.
So I liked her Interior Chrome, that's how I got here

By the way, this forum is the best!

Whats the "center cluser" Is it the "speedo"? I want chrome trim in mine as well. I purchased my MINI off the showroom floor.

I just want to do the Speedo, and the 4 Vents on the dashboard.

Can someone please give me part numbers for all 5.

L/R Vents
L/R Center vents
Speedo

Or is the Speedo and the two vents on either side, all one piece?

THANKS A MILLION
