Should I paint my side markers...

(*****************UPDATED*****************)

just wanted some help deciding on wat i should do..

so should i paint my sidemarkers pw or black?
or MAYBE (i dunno if it'll look good or not...) should i paint them black and the little grills a pw?
(i would be leaving the red S as is) i like how it stands out.

so here's a picture..(crappy i know..)

(later on in the near future i may take off the checkers and stripes in the middle only IF i get my black trim pieces painted to match...dunno if that's ever going to happen..)

but help me decide guys!!
maybe someone with really good photoshop skills could do the three different options i mentioned?
(i SUCK with photoshop..i tried paint and it came out horrible..)

thanks in advance guys. looking forward to your thoughts/opinions and such.

****EDIT****

(scroll down for more pics! )
and tell me wat you think about them!!
(OH..and go to my gallery for bigger pictures!!)

Just saw a set of blacked-out side-markers in another thread in here (about blacking stuff out) and they looked great, but it was on yellow and without the checkerboard.

I have mine blacked out, but my drivers side is starting to crack now because I did it with spray paint (even with several coats along with clear) so I say if you get them painted, actually GET them painted! It'll save you hassle in the long run.

Mine are blacked out with red S...put on a PW with the checker I'd say make the chrome PW leave the S alone and let the grills stay black.

FYI pics are in the MINI gallery linkfrom my sig.

Prep and paint them black!! I agree with pinkminigirl, though, leave the S red.

If you do it right, it will last. I used SEM Sand Free (pt# 38363) for a primer and SEM Trim Black (pt# 39143) fot the top coat. This paint is designed for use on auto trim pcs and once fully cured, is extremely durable. It also has just the right amount of sheen to it to look as if it was done at the factory.

I think it would look great IF your mirrors and roof are PW. If they are black I would go with black....or if you want it to blend in go with PW.

well actually...the white i used was a bit more "white" than i had imagined..so when it's sunny out and/or dark out. you can somewhat see that it IS in fact a bit more pure white. oh well.. i still think it looks sexy and "different".
people with white tops or white mirror caps..this is a def plus instead of blacking out.

pictures to follow!!

Hmmmmm I reallly like that.

But they would have to be an exact match or I would lose my mind from OCDness.

Maybe I can get the body shop to can some matched paint for me...

If you could flow those checkers through the side markers that would look sweet! Kinda looks like a white hole in the checkers in those pix.

i was thinking about that. but for now i love the way it looks as is.

and to MLWagner79..
for future reference if you DO paint them (yourself that is)
i used krylon for plastics Dover White color. it's REALLY hard to match the color of the pw when you see 4 different shades of white.
(one seems too white, other seems too 'off' white :impatient)
but im still happy with the results. i like it way better than blackin it out.

i would drive myself nuts with the slight mismatch of color ...but i have a question are yor handles and gas cap black ? or is that just the chrome that looks dark from the light ? if theyre blacked out then i would of gone with blacked out because it creats uniformity that with my ocd-ish ways would be mandatory lol your pw is gorgeous though ...has always been my fav color ..
