if i was to do it again. and i may. i would remove the chrome surround (just use a flat head screw driver from the inside out) that way the film can just go under it. no cutting or anything required.

i got most of the ridges down with a blow dryer, i think i MAY need to apply a small amount of adhesive, bc i peeled it up from the edges a couple times so maybe it lost some sticky-ness. but the kinda deflated bubbles and some little bubbles in the main part, im wondering if itll be like my tint and i need to jsut give it a week. it looks great from a stnading distance away though!

I give up!!!!! Despite having successfully applied Lamin-X to my tail lights, rear fogs and arch lights, and despite 3 separate attempts, I cannot get Lamin-X to stick to my right side side turn indicator (the clear oval lens by the "S". The driver's side sticks perfectly. I have cleaned it with adhesive remover, alcohol, etc. and it will just not stick! I think I will just remove the lenses and spray paint them from the inside.

i was able to get the curves of the side indicator and have the lamin-X stick by using a heat gun a blowdryer gets nowhere near as hot as it needs to be to fully wrap the lamin-x around hard curves ...if you do it with a blow dryer ( low heat ) the lamin-z will end up pulling back and not sticking

It stuck everywhere except the right side signal. I'm not going to buy a heat gun just to get the POS on.

hmm thats weird that it stuck everywhere except that .....a thing i learned when i did all mine and peeled them off numerous times is when you get it really hot ( like with a heat gun ) then it gets the film super sticky again but yeah i have a heat gun at my house that i dint buy my brother did so yeah i wouldnt buy one either but i hear they go as low at $20 and theyre a good handy thing to have at times .

I picked up a HarborFreight heatgun on sale for $9.99. Its not the best quality but to ensure a perfect install once or twice... the 10 buck was worth it.

i'm having problems getting most of the lamin-x tint to stay stuck down and i need help.

the rear lights tint, fog light tint and one headlight tint will not stay stuck down for nothing. the only ones i'm not having a problem with is the side lights on the fender flares and that's because it's a flat surface. i almost pulled the rear off today and i the fog lights will be coming off too. so far i think i wasted my money on this product and i had a tint place put them on so i know it was done right. it was around 70 degrees out yesterday when they got installed so i don't think that's the problem.

you can see in this picture where it's coming off on the right light (on the bottom corners)

the left one is coming off on the top corners.

i almost pulled the taillight tint off this afternoon, the left one looks worse than the one in the above picture and the fog lights look light crap also. i sent lamin-x an email asking what i should do and i wanted to ask you all also. as it stands right now i do not recommend their products unless all you want is the tint for the lights on the fender flares.

need help cause i'm probably going to pull most of it off tomorrow and just take the lose. sad thing is i love how my MINI looks with it on.

thanks for any help you can give me

Hello. If there is any dust or dirt under the film you will not be able to lay it down. If it is clean still use water/alcohol solution and then use a hair dryer to press it out. It may take a few minutes to do so.

Thanks

get a heat gun from harbour freight. They are like 10 bucks and work perfectly for such things.
