To Peppermill - I used electricians tape on the grill. An "old school" trick. I got a roll of the wide electricians tape and did the grill.

We just installed some teal viper stripes on the 05.

This is the only one I have of the rear, it was for a "boot" themed photo contest

Anyone with Chili Red / Yellow Stripes??

My MCS is chili Red w/ white top and mirror caps. I want to do something different than the ordinary white stripes and am thinking of the yellow mirror caps and yellow racing/viper strippers or maybe just one offset. Can anyone post a picture of their car if you have this combo? Thanks.

Nice work ! Considering it takes me about 90 minutes to install OEM bonnet stripes, that job must have taken a few hours. Any difficulty going down the bumper?

Hi everyone!

Today I'm putting red viper stripes on my Mini(it's black). And I was wondering if I should put the stripes on my sunroof or just skip that whole part of my roof! Any suggestions and pictures would be appreciated! Thanks!

Funny you should ask that. I have a dark gray MCS with black roof with dual sunroof and black stripes up the bonnet and down the boot. I have been back and forth on doing dark gray stripes over the roof and sunroof.

IMO, if you're going to stripe the roof, do the entire length, including the sunroof.

Yes. I agree. If I choose to stripe the roof I would do the entire roof including the sunroof.

For me, it was pretty much an all day job (seriously). The time would've been less than half that if the stripes were custom cut beforehand (ie: MADE for a Mini) but I did a lot of trimming, both before and after application. Not an easy job.

OK, weird. Shows up for me now too. Was worth waiting for.
2 thumbs up !!!

Now that I see it, I must ask. Did you remove your badges and then simply stick them back on with the existing tape or add new 3M foam (or similar) tape?

I wasn't sure how to remove the badges without damaging the car.

ve9aa, usually the vinyl would just be trimmed around the emblem without taking it off. However, to remove emblems, use a heat gun and fishing line. Then use your preference of adhesive remover to get rid of the remaining adhesive. (Make sure you know that there are no body holes behind the emblem before you remove them though. I'm not sure if mini uses holes for those emblems).

There are holes behind the wing emblems on the bonnet and boot, but not the 'Cooper' (S)
