Very cool, I always liked the matte black checkered roof look. Can you show more pics of the car as a whole please? My wife as an SS and I'm wondering how that would look.

 

Quick question Y'all, should the Clear Bra go under or on top of the Stripes???

It's really a personal choice, but I would go stripes on top of the clear bra since the stripes can be removed later. When I got my car it had the bonnet stripes installed, but I took them off on day 1. I got a clear bra (full hood) installed and went for about a year with no stripes, but now I'm itching for a new look so I'm getting Lyle to put some satin black stripes on. And if I get bored, I'll just take 'em off but leave the clear bra on (in theory at least).

Here is my Mini with sexy stripes

 

I have a black 2008 r52 convertible. I had 5 in wide stripes installed on he car and they are 3 inches apart. I really like to look of the stipes, but the rims to go. I am looking at the following rims. Please help me decide on my new rims.

Being and old school type, your car as it looks does not need any other wheels. You have the right amount of chrome and dark color. It really looks classy. If you do decide, then I would be interested in your wheels. But don't change them, you have a jewel now.

 

made the original bonnet stripes my own by adding an extra bright orange pinstripe :D

It's subtle but I like it, might go for a bright orange beltline next....

 

i should be taking some new pics soon. im trying to win the july photo contest by getting a good shot of me doing a human flag pole above my mini. i still need to do the shoot but im thinking that will be and amazing shot if we get some good angles

I forgot the company name but i got them from some guy over on the tar heel mini motoring club forum. took lots of emails back and fourth to get what i wanted

..so, back in January I'd put on some cheapo fake carbon fiber wannabe (printed) stripes...glossy..yuk..that I'd picked up at autozone ($15)...do not be tempted

...decided to order some of the real textured 3M stuff, ...just got it in yesterday

..so, pulled off the old stuff...and gave it a go, ..very nice stuff, goes on easy..no air bubbles...just like they say!

total with shipping $37

..are they too wide? I had to cut the material, was all one piece 12 inches wide, I made a cut down the middle 6 inches wide each stripe.

..wanted to go a bit narrower...but chickened out to make another cut..and maybe screw up

 

J&M's Mini looks good to me. I know some of the places sell them that wide to begin with. Who did you get yours from?
