ZJ - No pics of the GP colored gauges, but they are similar to the dark silver ones seen here - https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...26#post2060426

rkw - For the first gen colors, we have, dark silver, chili red, liquid yellow, BRG, hyper blue, pepper white, jet black.
And for the non-MINI colors, take your pick!

I just came across this. What price would I be looking at for satin black with red highlights around numbers for speedo and tach on a R53?

Do you have to take the Dash apart to do the gauge overlay on the speedo?

Jankjo - I'm pretty sure the dash needs to come out in order to install the overlays.

The dash doesn't have to come out at all for this... I'm installing a chromed speedo now... Had the plastic lens off within 15 minutes, and I've never been in the dash before.

What are the steps you took? The trim piece surrounding the speedo certainly needs to come out before you can access the lens. I think removing the trim is what people mean by taking apart the dash.

No love for north of the border

I'd be 100% in for black gloss with red trim around the numbers. I'll have to look into what it would take to pull my gauge faces and ship them I guess............. gaaaah. Some days it sucks being a Canadian...........

........... back inside from the cold now.............. I'd hazzard a guess that the Canadian tack should be the same as the USA one shouldn't it ?!?!?!? Thus........... and new tack layover should be in order for me .............. thoughts ?!?!?!

We have the template for the KMH gauges. Shoot me a pic so I can double check that they will be the correct fit.

We aren't able to create a checker pattern gauge overlay at this time.

--------------------------------------------

Tom - We will soon have the new 20, 40, 60 gauge set up. Keep posted.

For all of my aftermarket gauges I went with the AutoMeter Pro comp silver fase gauges, because they kinda match and I like the style. Now I would realy like the font of the numbers on the factory R53 gauges to match the Autometer's, and be straight up and down instead of tilted.

Is there any way that you guys could offer a silver face with the standard AutoMeter font?

R53 needles are relatively easy to remove. It doesn't require that much force to pull the needle off the center pin. The R56 is much harder.

We don't have the R56 Km/h gauge overlays available yet. Still waiting for someone to send theirs in.

Still looking for the US spec 20, 40, 60 setup as well.

I want this!!!

Hey Lyle,

I just came back from the Los Angeles Auto Show and was drooling over the 2011 JCW Black Speedo Gauge, when I realized that you were already making them! I had contacted another company earlier this year that I had bought my R53 faces from but they said they weren't supporting the R56..wish I had known you were doing them too, would have saved me some research time!

PM me please!

Richard
